Verbatim excerpt from the official Airbus Code of Conduct (German edition). Translation provided for reference; emphases added editorially.
Airbus is committed to a “Speak up” culture characterised by open and trusting dialogue with employees at all levels. All employees are encouraged to express their views openly, to stand up for their opinions and to point out unacceptable behaviour — particularly when it conflicts with this Code of Conduct. Employees may raise concerns with their direct line manager, their Human Resources Business Partner, or a representative of Legal & Compliance, or they may use the Airbus “OpenLine” (www.airbusopenline.com).
The OpenLine is a channel through which employees and other stakeholders may safely and confidentially — or anonymously — report concerns. Such reports may relate to possible violations of the Code of Conduct, of policies and standards, or of applicable laws and regulations. Use of the OpenLine is entirely voluntary. No disadvantage shall arise for employees who choose not to use the system.
Airbus protects those who raise concerns appropriately and in good faith. Persons who do so, or who contribute to clarifying possible violations, shall not fear any retaliation. Retaliation can be exercised directly or indirectly in many forms: harassment, exclusion from meetings, disciplinary measures, dismissal or other discriminatory measures, in particular with regard to remuneration, profit-sharing, allocation of bonus shares, job grading, performance assessment, promotion, training, transfer, contract extension, etc. If you have the impression that pressure is being exerted on you because of your report, please contact a member of Legal & Compliance.
